The School of Chemistry & Molecular Biosciences seeks demonstrators/tutors for part-time, casual appointment for courses in Semester 2, 2017.

Applicants must possess at least an undergraduate degree majoring in the discipline in which you seek to demonstrate/tutor.  You will either have relatively recent experience with the course material or a demonstrated capacity to become familiar with the material in a short time.

You might be studying at Honours or postgraduate level at UQ or another university or be working as a research assistant or postdoctoral fellow.  Perhaps you have taught in your field at a significant level in the past and are looking to return to the workforce.

Hours will vary according to the class timetable.  Classes typically run 9:50am-12:50pm and 1:50- 4:50pm on some or all of the weeks between 24 July and 27 October.  A commitment for the whole of the semester is required.  Some training is provided.  The pay rate is $43.71 per hour ($52.27 for PhD-qualified).

The selection process involves assessment of your application and an interview which includes a technical skills analysis.
