Protein fusion constructs for treatment of diabetes

Description:

We are making molecules designed to carry anti-diabetic molecules to the pancreatic beta cell. The project will entail protein expression and purification.

Expected outcomes and deliverables:

Scholars may gain skills in cell culture, protein expression from mammalian cells, protein purification, data collection and maintaining lab records to a  GLP  standard.   Students may also be asked to produce a brief report or oral presentation at the end of their project.

 

Suitable for:

This project is open to applications from students with a background in biotechnology, 3rd year B.Biotech students preferred, UQ enrolled students only.
