Project title:

New components for the synthesis of metal-organic frameworks

Project duration:

4-6 weeks

Description:

Metal-Organic Frameworks are a class of polymeric material formed from organic and metallic components. This project will explore new ways to form these materials following an innovative hierarchical self-assembly methodology.

Expected outcomes and deliverables:

A new organic component will be designed and prepared before its interactions with a variety of metal ions will be investigated. This project will require some synthetic laboratory work.

Suitable for:

UQ enrolled students only who have completed CHEM2054 as a minimum.

Primary Supervisor:

Dr Jack Clegg
