This instrument is a flexible, modular, cellular and subcellular imaging system for fast, automated imaging in fixed and live cells.  Built around an automated epifluorescence-based microscope and image acquisition software, the powerful, easy-to-use IN Cell Analyzer 1000 enhances the productivity of cell-based research by combining system flexibility with excellent image and data quality.

Technical information:

  • Fast infrared laser autofocus system - all scanned cells within a sample are in focus.
  • Up to 2000 images/hour acquired - reproducible generation of optimal images.
  • Flat field illumination (UV to IR wavelengths) using a xenon lamp, selectable excitation/emission filters and automated wavelength switching - enables imaging across a broad range of biologically relevant wavelengths.

Facility Location

The InCell facility in located in R160 of the Molecular Biosciences Building (Bld 76).
A dedicated computer workstation for manipulation and analysis of images is provided in R160.
Access to the facility is by swipe card and key.

Charges for using the facility

Users external to SCMB but within the University to be charged at $25/hour. External to SCMB training of $75/hour.
