Students who are interested in designing their own International Year of Chemistry stamps can participate in the Global Stamp Competition, which was launched in Paris last January during the IYC 2011 opening ceremony.

Entries should highlight the impact of chemistry on Australia’s culture and everyday life.

The competition is now open to students all over the world in 3 age categories (12-14, 15-18 and undergraduates/teacher-students from all discipline areas).

Students can submit their designs before June 15, 2011 to an interactive publication platform, that also allows peer review.

An international jury will judge the entries.

The winning stamps will be on show during the IYC 2011 Closing Ceremony in the Grand Palais in Brussels, Belgium.
