UQ Glassblowing Services specialises in the fabrication and repair of laboratory, chemical, scientific and custom built glass apparatus.

Situated within the School of Chemistry & Molecular Biosciences and servicing clients across UQ and beyond, UQGS has a high level of expertise in the fabrication and repair of a wide range of specialised and standard scientific glassware.

The workshop employs a qualified and highly experienced glassblower and an apprentice to ensure your demands are met in a timely and professional manner.

These include glass and teflon stopcocks, interchangeable ground joints, flanges, glass sinters, screwthread joints, graded and glass to metal seals.

For customers requiring high temperature or high purity glassware, a service in quartz and pure silica glasses is available.
