Exceptional result for SCMB research
Research in Biotechnology, Biological Sciences and Chemical Sciences at The University of Queensland was ranked well above world standard in the Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) survey.
The ERA evaluated research performance in Australia's universities using a combination of indicators and expert review by committees comprising experienced and internationally-recognised experts.
The ERA survey used rankings from 1 to 5, where 5 corresponded to "well above world standard".
UQ scored 5 for Chemical Sciences, Biological Sciences and Biotechnology.
The survey places UQ above world standard in more fields of research than any other Australian university.
