Engagement

The School of Chemistry & Molecular Biosciences (SCMB) places a high priority on engagement with its stakeholders. From encouraging school students to discover the world of science, to consolidating and building on links with industry partners and alumni, SCMB staff are active participants. The School's research has led to the filing of more than 40 patents and the creation of a number of start-up companies. We have strong links to a number of learned societies and professional associations, and staff are involved in the organisation and hosting of major academic conferences. With more than one in four students coming from overseas and many staff holding overseas qualifications, SCMB has an international outlook.
