UQ's top performing tutors in Chemistry & Molecular Biosciences for second semester 2011 have been recognised for their efforts.

The tutors achieved a score of 4.80 or better (out of 5.0) on the overall performance question of student evaluation surveys, along with the maximum possible score on each of a series of evaluation questions answered by staff.

Eleven tutors received a certificate of acheivement and a movie ticket voucher, while those able to attend enjoyed a lunch hosted by Head of School, Professor Melissa Brown, on 13 March 2012.

They tutored across courses in a range of disciplines and year levels.

On behalf of Professor Brown, Associate Professor Joe Rothnagel emphasised the important role tutors play in the School.

"The more positive our students' interactions with tutors, the more likely it is that they will continue their studies in Science", he said.

The School of Chemistry & Molecular Biosciences tutor awards ceremony takes place each semester.
